Item's really2 good. Arrived on time, easy to setup, easier to use. I've been using different 3d printers for a while now, but i think this is the best. Would recommend this to anyone, anytime.

A week in and this thing has been going strong. I have been printing almost around the clock and I am amazed at the quality of the prints. I had one issue with curling with the included roll, look up ABS slurry to solve this. Basically mixing ABS with Acetone and slathering a thin layer of this to the hot platform acts as plastic glue between the build platform and the printer. The only thing I am still trying to fix is the way too loud beeps whenever the printer is starting or ending a print. Absolutely no reason for it be so loud or even to beep really it never beeps if the build has gone wrong and its making spaghetti, hopefully there is a fix for this. I also had a hard time with PLA but that might be user error.

This is my first 3D printer. I have used professional 3D printing services in the past and paid ten times the cost of this printer, just for the parts I had printed. The accuracy and quality of the ABS prints from this Up Plus 2 printer are simply amazing. All the documentation and software are available online as downloads, which is nice. I printed out the 57 page manual and studied it carefully before using the printer. The instructions are fairly well done, yet not exactly in step by step format. It took a good hour of reading and contemplating before I had the nerve to click "Print". Everything worked beautifully and I made a couple stunning first parts. I'm blown away by the value of this technology for the technical design trades. The best invention since the pencil.

Update - As of August 2019 I am still using this printer quite often, without any failures in the past six years. A few nozzle changes and some simple dialing in with auto-level and manual nozzle height adjustments. This has been a phenomenal machine and absolutely invaluable for all the useful things and prototypes I have made over the years. I Highly recommend this machine.

Ich habe den Drucker jetzt seit Ende letzten Jahres. Das Setup war extrem einfach und gut im Handbuch geschrieben. Seit dem Tag ist der Drucker fast täglich am Drucken. Im direkten Vergleich zu anderen Druckern ist der UP vielleicht minimal langsamer, aber ich habe noch kein besseres Druckbild gesehen.
Ich habe einen sogenannten "Temperatur-Mod" eingebaut, mit dem ich die Temperatur des Hotend regeln kann, um Filament drucken zu können, was nicht direkt für den UP gemacht wurde. Damit hab ich auch das einzige Manko des Druckers: Ohne Anpassung ist man auf das Filament von PP3DP angewiesen. Das Filament ist zwar recht teuer, aber extrem gut!

Neben dem unglaublich sauberen Druck (0.2 Schichtdicke, Fine - Ist meine Standart-Einstellung) überzeugt vor allem auch, wie die Software Supportstrukturen generiert. Die Strukturen stützen perfekt und lassen sich extrem einfach vom Objekt lösen. Man kann im Grunde drucken, wie man möchte ohne Rücksicht drauf zu nehmen, ob da irgendwo Überhänge sind, Löcher in der Seitenwand oder so. Darum kümmert sich unglaublich gut die PP3DP eigene Software.

Aufgefallen sind mir diese Vorzüge erst, als ich mir einen Prusa I3 gebaut habe. Slic3r und Cura können beide nicht ansatzweise so gut mit Stützstruktur um. Weder mein Prusa, noch der Ultimaker eines Freundes haben solch ein sauberes und schönes Druckbild.

Ich hatte überlegt, den UP wegzugeben, sobald der Prusa fertig ist, aber jetzt, wo ich beide habe, weiss ich: Den UP geb ich erst weg, wenn es einen neuen mit größerer Druckfläche gibt.

Ich kann den UP jedem nur wärmstens empfehlen, der Drucken möchte und nicht ein neues Hobby sucht. Wärend ich am Prusa bastel und optimiere, einstelle und ausprobiere um die letzten Macken rauszubekommen, druckt der UP und druckt und druckt und druckt.

Worked great for a week or so, then started screwing up prints. Aligned the table, tried painter's tape, hair spray, Kapton tape...nothing helped. It is okay but for the price there is a lot better. Ended up getting a DaVinci Duo 2 (dual extruder), haven't had a problem yet.
