My main bass is a Fender Precision, but I prefer the sound of roundwounds over flats. Other rounds I've tried are too raspy and bright for my taste, but the DR LO-Riders provide the best compromise. Their hex core makes for a less zingy, overly bright tone, and also allows for lower action because they're not as loose as round cores. DR makes excellent strings and these are one of my favorites.
Ive tried them all and these are the first strings that I've put and kept on multiple basses..IMO these are great on Passive Fenders, especially on a Jazz. To the main characteristics are: - Higher Tension: allows for lower action. - Compression wound: easier on the frets, less annoying zingy highs - Mid forward: especially once broken in, nice midrange bump
Put these strings on it : Squier P-bass with EMG dc35, a sound is simply chic, even and not will say that budgetary instrument :)I will order a few complete sets Thank you Amazon and salesman))))))
