These are the best tweezers. I've been using these for over 10 years and finally lost the smaller one so I was happy to find that Amazon had it for a very good price! I don't use the larger size at all, but the small one is better than any other tweezer I've ever tried for plucking eyebrows, etc.
These are the best, most reliable, work every single time tweezers I've ever used. Often, tweezers will initially work well but fail to maintain their rigidness after awhile. I've owned these for years and their just as good as they were the 1st time I used them.
I'm editing my review because these have proved better than I thought they were originally. I usually buy GreenBell tweezers, which are made of thinner steel and easily misalign over time. For the price, I figured it was worth the risk buying two sets in case I liked these. The gripping is very good. The ends are a bit thick and kludgy for fine hair tweezing, but I got used to the unfamiliar design and have gotten better at using these. It's sometimes hard to see and pick out the target because the steel tips are so thick. But they stay aligned, they don't deform due to light gauge steel. And they are kinder to the surrounding skin, they don't irritate or scratch. However, the GreenBell's grip hairs better. These tend to slip out a lot.
I have purchased several pair of Kai tweezers. I have purchased in Japan and on Amazon a couple years ago but these do not appear to be of the same quality. There is NO grip. Would not grip the hair. The metal feels different from my current pair. Had to contact Amazon for a refund.
I had some Kai tweezers for over 5 years and loved them, nothing else would work for me because it's hard to find tweezers WITHOUT a slanted head. I don't see why the slanted head is useful, so the flat-head changed my life!
Anyway, those tweezers sadly broke on Christmas of last year, so I was desperate to replace them and thankfully found them on Amazon. These new Kai tweezers are slightly different in that it requires more pressure from your fingers to close them, but I got used to it quickly. I prefer the large-head tweezer, but am discovering the benefits of the smaller-head tweezer for places where there are a lot of hairs and I only need to zoom in on one (i.e. the beard area when I get an ingrown hair).
So, these two make a great team and have made my life infinitely better. Highly recommended.
