このソフトを購入する前に、CaptureNX2を購入し、それに合わせて
カメラコントロールも新しいソフトをと思って追加しましたが、
バージョンアップに伴って、自分のカメラが使えなくなってしまい、
残念ながら使用を保留中です。
２つ位前のバージョンだと、使えたんだな。

【理由】
このソフトを使用することで、「カメラとパソコンをUSBで接続したままの状態でもカメラ側のシャッターを押して撮影することができる」とのことでしたが、「カメラ側のファインダーでピントを合わせる。」ことはできないとのことでした。
「カメラ側でピントを合わせられない」という事実がソフト購入後でしたので、仕方がないですが、結果使用していません。

以前CANONで仕事をしていたのですがD850の画質とクロップせずに動画が撮れるなどの理由から清水の舞台から飛び降りる気持ちでNIKONに乗り換えたのでした。まさかテザー撮影するのにこんな値段でソフトが売られていることも驚きですが、有料なのにCANONのカメラに付属しているソフトより１０年以上遅れている感じです。よっぽど怪しい無料ソフトのほうが高機能。CANONの半分も機能が無い感じです。写真を撮ることを開発者はやっていないと言わざるを得ない出来です。おまけで付いていたとしても叱られるレベル。無能な写真を撮ったことが無い人間が開発のトップなんだと思うレベル。価値なし。NIKONにしたことを後悔すらしている。
最近のレンズやカメラは本当に良い物を創っているだけに残念です。

まさに金の無駄。
ライブビューにすると接続切れる。
シャッター押すだけで接続切れる。
全く使い物になりません。
他社の一眼は無料で同機能のソフトがついているのに。。。
しかもフリーで同機能のソフトが出てるというのに。。。
こんだけ高い金取ってこれ・・・ひどすぎます。
この製品を買うべきでないことは言うまでもないですが、
まだ一眼レフも買っていない人はニコンだけはめた方がいいです。
この製品に限らず周辺機器がとにかく高い！そして使いものにならないものばかりです。
一眼レフ本体の出来が良いだけに本当に残念です。。。

I called myself researching the software before making my purchase. Part of the way I base my decision to purchase or not is to read the "middle of the road" reviews. Because "reviews" are typically subjective, I use them more as a means of getting an idea for what I'm considering than allowing it to influence my decision to buy or not. Ordinarily, if reviews influence that decision, is because there is an overwhelming preponderance one way or the other. With many items, especially computer software, there are way too many other "unknowns" that can affect performance... computers are all operational based on the individual/s using them and can effect software performance or lack thereof. After purchasing the Nikon's "Camera Control Pro 2.0," I went back and read the rest of the reviews. I received the disk today and my experience has been no where even remotely close to the negative comments I read. To wit:

1) "When I bought a new computer, it wouldn't let me install the program on the new computer using the installation key..."

When I installed the free/trial versions of Nikon's software originally, I kept the programs updated every time the Message Center notified me of an update or upgrade. Having read the comments about the disk being an older program and not a more current version, I did have some reservations. However, in the process of running the install program, it detected that I had a newer version already installed and installation of the disk version was stopping. I launched the version I already had on my computer, used the Product Key that came with the disk and it activated the newer version with absolutely no issues. That was on my laptop. I did the exact same thing on my desktop system with the exact same results. Both systems are 64-bit running Windows 10 Professional.

2) "The 64-bit version wouldn't run but I could run the 32-bit version without problems."

For people experiencing this and other computer related issues, I have to wonder if they actually read the information on the back of the box. For example:

"Both 32- and 64-bit versions of Windows Vista & Windows 7 are supported, however the software operates as a 32-bit version under a 64-bit environment."

3) I have three (3) cameras which some people are saying they have problems with the software recognizing them. All three of them, Nikon D7100, D5200 and D3200 appear to run flawlessly in the newer version of the software on both laptop and desktop. By the way; on the back of the box, the system requirements for using the software require Intel processors (those are the only processors listed). My laptop is running an AMD A6 processor.

My only negative regarding the software is the price. Paying $150-$180 for this program seems a tad steep but, I paid it and I'm happy with my purchase.

Bottom line: IF your computer/s meet at least the minimum requirements for running the software and your cameras & computers are properly maintained, you should have little if any difficulty running the software. Price is a bit high but, if you're running Nikon equipment, it will behoove you to consider the Nikon software.

È un software che conosco da anni, si è sempre rinnovato e aggiornato gratuitamente ogni nuova macchina uscita o quando c’erano esigenze dei fotografi per qualche cosa in più. Io sono stato costretto a ricomprarlo perché per installarlo su un nuovo Mac book mi serviva il codice che si trova all’interno della scatola originale che ho perso. Comunque per chi ha Nikon lo consiglio ( USB o WI-FI)

..die leider auch Geld kostet.. Freeware hat nicht den Funktionsumfang und ist daher auch nicht vergleichbar. Die SW kann auf zwei Rechnern installiert werden.

I have been using some free software which did the job but was rather unpredictable. I decided to try the Nikon software on trial and having done so, have gone ahead and purchased the software. It is completely reliable and worth every penny. You can control and change camera settings direct from the software and if I have a quibble, and it's only a minor one, it defaults to saving the image on the computer and does not allow you to save the image on the camera's memory card as well on all models of Nikon camera. I would still recommend this to any Nikon user needing control software.
